I've started that oil painting of a singing Marsh Warbler that I could sketch in the previous weeks (see my earlier blog).
I did an additional colour sketch of the Blackberry branch:

I'm working on canvasboard. Here's the composition drawn with raw sienna:

The current state of the painting. The background is nearly finished, and I started to add some detail to the leaves and the bird:
