I'm still working on the poisonous animals. Here are 2 European adders. I haven't painted every single scale, but tried to capture the characteristic, scaly surface. My experience is, that with this style, more life-like Snakes can be produced. And I won't go mad after the 2nd animal.

Here's a Snake plate painted in 2004. I remember this work drove me mad, so I was a bit scared by the 3 snakes in teh list of the poisonous animals. But to my great surprise, they haven't caused me much trouble.

Finishing teh seabird work, I've started to work on a new commission by the French publisher, Delachaux et Niestlé. I have to paint several poisonous animals. Here are some:
