This species is the counterpart of the Common Nightingale in North-eastern Europe (southern Finland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania). They are rare breeder in north-east of Hungary, but regular on migration. They are not rare to hybridize with the Nightingale.

Good comment, Laura-I was going to say how much I enjoyed seeing these birds that are not native to North America. :)
