Here are 3 Woodpecker sketches from the Asa Wright Nature Center.
Golden-olive Woodpecker. I decided not to study the birds prior the trip, sometimes I was completely surprised to realize how beautiful birds are living there. During the sketching of this bird, I had no idea what species I'm looking at:

I've arrived back from Trinidad. I spent a fantastic time with sketching mainly birds. I stayed a few nights with my friend, Gerard Ramsawak at the Pax Guesthouse, and 10 days at the Asa Wright Nature Center. I'll post most of my sketches here on my blog from day to day.First, the Bananaquit (Coereba flaveola):


They are quite restless birds, but visit the feeders regularly, so had opportunity to sketch them:
